Audrey Booth: Celebration of Life
Audrey Booth: Celebration of Life
This event is open to the public. Join us in celebrating the life of Audrey Booth.
Audrey Maureen Booth was born on July 22, 1952, in Amelia, Virginia, to the late John and Alberta Booth. On Sunday, March 22, 2026, God gently called Audrey home. While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the life she lived, the love she gave, and the many ways she poured herself into all of us.
For more than 30 years, Audrey was employed by the City of Richmond. She worked as an event planner and facilities manager for the Richmond Coliseum, the historic Carpenter Center and Altria Theater. When Altria Theater transitioned to private management, she continued her work as the Community and Municipal Operations Director. Audrey took pride in her work and treated everyone she encountered with respect and care. Due to declining health, she retired in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, service, and professionalism.
Above everything else, Audrey loved her family. She truly believed that family went far beyond blood—if you knew Audrey, you were family. Life has a way of putting people into your life and if you had the opportunity to have Audrey in yours then you were truly blessed. She had a smile that could light up a room and a selflessness beyond measure. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. She listened without judgment, gave advice with wisdom, and loved with her whole heart.
Audrey was the one you could call, the one who would pray with you, and the one who always showed up.
Audrey will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, her loving heart, and her quiet but powerful faith. She taught us how to love without limits, how to serve without expecting anything in return, and how to trust God through every season. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love lives on in each of us—and her memory will forever remain a guiding light in our lives. We celebrate the beautiful life of our Audrey.
