Friday Eve Performance TINA - The Tina Turner Musical Interrupted Due to Fire Alarm

Apr. 6, 2024

The Friday, April 5, performance of TINA - The Tina Turner Musical was halted at 9:45PM as a fire alarm went off at Altria Theater. Patrons were directed to evacuate the venue into Monroe Park in accordance with the venue's emergency action plan. First Responders and venue personnel investigated the alarm source immediately. All patrons were evacuated in a safe and orderly fashion. During this 30-minute delay, it was decided that the show could not go on.

It was determined that there was no fire incident. All systems are being checked at this time to ensure that the remaining weekend performances will go on as scheduled.

The safety and security of our patrons and staff is a top priority. Altria Theater and Broadway in Richmond sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this incident may have caused and express our appreciation for the audience’s patience while the issue was handled swiftly and safely.

TINA - The Tina Turner Musical will continue for the remaining performances through Sunday, April 7. Any patrons who attended the performance tonight may be reseated into a future performance throughout the rest of the weekend. To begin this process, please email info@asmrichmond.com.
