FAQs

How do I purchase a new subscription?

The new 24/25 season was announced on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Current subscribers always get exclusive first access to the list, so please ensure you’re receiving emails from Altria Theater if you are a 23/24 season ticket holder!

How do I renew my subscription?

The new 24/25 season will be announced, and renewals began on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Your current seats will be held for you in the new 24/25 season, attending on your same day of the week. Seats not renewed by April 19, 2024, will be automatically released.

The steps to renew are as follows:

  1. Log in to Account Manager. Need help logging in?
  2. Find My Invoices and click your Order ID.
  3. Time to look at the details! Want to make changes? 
    • If you are renewing but want to change locations or days, please click the green Exchange button on your order and follow the prompts.
    • If you are renewing and want to increase or decrease your number of seats, look for the green Request Change button and input your request. Requests will be processed on a date-received basis beginning in May. You may also call the office for assistance in dropping seats from your invoice.
  4. When you’re ready to renew, click the green Make a Payment button. You have the option of paying in full or on a payment plan. The payment plan option is an exclusive benefit for renewing subscribers only… enjoy!
  5. Tickets will be delivered to your email address on file, seven days before the first performance in your series.

When I renew, will I keep my same seats?

Subscribers are generally renewed into their same seats and day of the week for the new season, with a few exceptions based on show dates and availability.

If your dates or seats have been altered for any reason, you will receive a personal communication from us via email and/or phone during your renewal period to ensure the changes meet your satisfaction.

If you want to release or add seats, please see below for more information about changing or upgrading your seats.

What if I want to upgrade or make changes to my subscription?

You have two options:

  1. Do it yourself with Package Exchange. In Account Manager, open your invoice for the 6-show package and click Exchange to look for different seating for the same package or a different package. If you don’t find what you want, back out of the Exchange and decide if you want to be on the upgrade list (below). If you do make an exchange, your original seats are released and may be purchased by the general public. Once exchanged, be sure to make your payment to renew.
  2. Submit a change request. After the renewal deadline, unrenewed seats will be released and the office will contact patrons on the upgrade list, beginning in May. We will let you know if we can accommodate your request and assist with those by phone. Be sure to pay for your current seats before the renewal deadline or you will not be contacted about a change. This is the only option the office can assist you with.

Do you offer payment plans?

Payment plans are available exclusively to renewing subscribers. For the upcoming 2024/2025 season, if you are a renewing subscriber and you select the payment plan option:

  • One-fourth of your invoice total is due at renewal. The remaining amount will be paid in three additional installments on May 17, June 17, and July 17, 2024.
  • Orders will need to be paid in full before seat changes are made.
  • Payment plans cannot be processed using PayPal as a payment method. Do not make your first payment via PayPal.

What if I want to split my invoice between two or more people?

Please email or call the Season Ticket Office so we can make that change for you before you make a payment. Once your order is paid, we cannot split orders. 

Can I add parking?

Pre-paid parking is offered as a benefit to renewing subscribers. Later this summer, a link to purchase a parking package will be provided to you via email. Parking is limited to the first 300 subscribers per performance, and is not guaranteed with purchase of a subscription.

What if the show is canceled, rescheduled, or postponed?

All ticket purchases are final. No refunds or exchanges except in the case of an event cancelation. The following policies apply to single ticket purchases:

  • If your event is postponed or rescheduled, we will automatically move your tickets to the new performance date(s). If you are unable to attend the new dates, we will work with you to find a solution, including account credit to be used for future show purchases, or refunds upon request.

  • If your event is canceled for any reason, including local and state government restrictions, we will always exhaust every option possible, including account credit to be used for future show purchases, or refunds upon request.

Shows and dates are subject to change. Some fees may not be refundable. Ticket policies are at the discretion of Altria Theater and Broadway in Richmond, and may be changed at any time.

How do I get my tickets?

Tickets for the upcoming season will be delivered electronically via Etix to the email linked to your account. Your season tickets will be delivered 7 days prior to the first show of the season. Watch your email for further communications.

Can I exchange my tickets later if my plans change?

Season Ticket Holders are able to exchange performances in the same show’s run with no fee. Once the Subscriber exchange period begins, we recommend exchanging as early as possible for the best seating options. Please note that seating options for exchanges can be limited and if changing into a higher priced performance or seating location, a price difference may apply.
