Update for Subscribers

We are looking forward to the return of live theatre and are excited for that day when we can all be together again. Until then, please see below for several Broadway In Richmond updates.

First, we wanted to provide new details on the postponed and rescheduled performances of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and THE BAND’S VISIT. Please note – all tickets for the original performance dates will be valid for the new dates.

  • FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is now scheduled for April 5 – 10, 2022. The original date was April 7 – 12, 2020 and was previously redated to June 2021.
  • THE BAND’S VISIT is now scheduled for July 26 – 31, 2022. The original date was April 28 – May 3, 2020 and has been re-dated a couple times previously.

Second, we wanted to address the 2021 Broadway in Richmond season. Obviously, shows in the current season (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, MY FAIR LADY, MEAN GIRLS, ANASTASIA, HAIRSPRAY) will not play as scheduled. We are working to transfer as many of our 2021 titles into the 2021-22 Broadway in Richmond season as possible. No action is required for those BIR subscribers who have renewed for 2021, as we are hopeful we can simply transfer your subscription into the new season. Those subscribers who have yet to renew, you will have the opportunity to secure your seats when the season is announced.

Payment Plan

If you chose to utilize the Payment Plan for your renewal, you do not have to do anything. We are going to freeze all future payments due until we have confirmed new dates. Your subscription and your seats are secure, and we will resume the Payment Plan and provide you with new payment dates once we have confirmed the Broadway In Richmond schedule. At that time you will receive an email that will detail your remaining payments and a pay schedule.

Upgrade/Seat Change Request

Many of you have requested upgrades and/or seat changes. Your request has been prioritized in the order that it was received, and we will address those at the appropriate time. Unfortunately, we cannot fulfill any change requests until we have completed the renewal process, which is still ongoing due to the extraordinary circumstances created by the pandemic. Once we reach the new renewal deadline, which will be determined in the coming months, we will begin to fulfill those requests, again, in the order that they were received. We will do everything that we can honor those requests, based on available inventory.

Update for Non-Subscribers

New Broadway In Richmond Subscriptions

If you are not a subscriber of the Broadway In Richmond season, but would like to consider a subscription, new subscriptions will become available once we have completed the renewal period for current subscribers. We do not have a date yet, but will update this page with additional information, as it becomes available. If you have questions, or want to learn more about the BIR subscriptions, please contact us at [email protected] or log onto BroadwayInRichmond.com.

New Broadway In Richmond Season

When will the new season be announced? The honest answer is, we do not have a firm date, but we hope to announce later this spring and you will be the first to know. As always, should you have any questions regarding your Broadway In Richmond subscription, please contact our team via email at [email protected].

Individual Ticket Sales

Once we get through the subscriber renewal period and the new subscriber period, we will put individual tickets on sale for each performance. Stay tuned to the Broadway In Richmond website for details and follow Broadway In Richmond on social media.

We would have never predicted that more than a year would pass since our last presentation of top-notch song and dance from Broadway’s national tours. We cannot thank you enough for your continued patience, support and understanding as we push through this extended intermission. There is light at the end of the tunnel as we are in the final stages of planning for the return of Broadway in Richmond. Tour dates continue to shift, and we will certainly need to be flexible and aware of extenuating circumstances when the curtain rises again. However, Broadway will be back!

Thank you,

Your friends at Broadway In Richmond
