Volunteers should have a passion for the arts, be reliable, be at least 18 years old, able to climb stairs, stand for long periods of time, work in semi-darkness and can commit to work 2 shows per month – work more if you’d like! Interested candidates should contact our House Manager or mail a request to:

WAYS TO GIVE
Gifts of cash allow donors to receive full tax benefits to the extent allowed by law.
Richmond Performing Arts Alliance encourages pledges as a way of making a commitment now to the capital campaign, spreading payments over a period of time. While most pledges are for a three-year period, longer-term (up to five years) pledges can be arranged depending on the size of the gift.
Gifts of Securities
An attractive option for donors is through gifts of appreciated securities. Gifts of this type may provide greater tax advantages than gifts of cash. The donor can deduct the current fair market value as a charitable gift and completely avoid any capital gains tax on the appreciation.
Deferred Gifts/Planned Giving
RPAA has a bequest and deferred gift program to accommodate the forethought of such donors. “Planned gifts” are gifts that are created now, yet fully realized at a later date, such as through a will, a gift of life insurance, or setting up a charitable-remainder trust. Many planned gifts provide income to the donor, spouse and children for life, and still allow a significant gift to RPAA. Donors interested in this option should consult with their attorney or financial advisor.
An endowment fund has been established to sustain the mission, facilities and programs of Richmond CenterStage long into the future. Cash and planned gifts can be dedicated to the endowment to ensure that new generations of patrons have the opportunity to experience the power of the performing arts in our community.
Where appropriate, those who wish to enhance the value of a gift are encouraged to contact their employer to determine if a corporate matching program is in place.
If you are interested in any of the above donation options, please contact the RPAA at (804) 592-3330..
