About NorthStar Community:
NorthStar Community (NSC) is a Christ-centered ministry founded on the belief that a spiritual problem, with a spiritual solution, underlies various life experiences and struggles. NSC gathers people in a faith-based community to seek healing from source of suffering. NSC believes that God’s work, through His son, on the cross, shows that He is truly present in times of suffering and desires to heal, renew and restore.
In February, 1999, a group of people began a pilot project intended to reach out into the community and serve those interested in finding support for their recovery efforts. Fourteen years later, NorthStar Community continues this ministry effort. NSC exists to help families who are interested in pursuing recovery from a variety of life problems from a faith-based perspective.
NSC is led by their Senior Pastor, Teresa McBean and the recent addition of an Associate Pastor, Scott McBean. NSC has enjoyed the privilege of partnering with other organizations like the National Association for Christian Recovery, The Healing Place, Recycle Rides and local churches like Bon Air Baptist Church - who share a common passion, helping hurting people and their families find solutions to their problems.
